Raven SR, a renewable energy company, hired WPP’s H+K and Cannings Purple to handle global PR following a competitive review.
Renewable energy company Raven SR has handed its global PR business to two WPP agencies —Hill+Knowlton US and Australia’s Cannings Purple.
The WPP team won the business following a global review, which Raven launched in advance of rolling out its technology that turns waste into green hydrogen and synthetic fuels. The agencies will provide integrated communications services, including media relations and global digital activation.
There was no incumbent agency, as the Wyoming company previously handled its PR in-house.
H+K and Cannings Purple bring experience working together in the clean energy sector, having jointly supported Hyzon Motors, a hydrogen truck manufacturer that is partnering with Raven to build 100 hydrogen hubs in the US and globally. Raven SR is a founding member of the Hyzon Zero Carbon Alliance, an initiative of global hydrogen mobility companies to help customers make the transition to cleaner hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles.
“We were impressed by the strategic creative thinking and global sector understanding demonstrated throughout the competitive process by H+K and Cannings Purple,” said Matt W. Murdock, Raven SR’s founder and CEO. “They stood out for their depth of expertise in renewables, their insights-driven approach to earned media and digital and their ability to activate collaborative teams on the ground in our key markets immediately. As we look to activate our partnership with Hyzon Motors, Raven SR is well positioned to lead the conversation in green energy solutions, and we look forward to partnering with H+K and Cannings Purple to drive this global agenda.”
