SEPTEMBER 4, 2018 (PINEDALE, WY) – Raven SR was honored to receive the New Technology Of The Year Award by industry leaders at the 2018 Rocky Mountain Oil & Gas Awards in Denver, Colorado on August 21, 2018. Raven SR’s steam reforming, carbon negative fuel technology converts municipal solid waste, natural gas, bio-hazard waste and other feedstocks into cleaner burning synthetic fuels (Fischer Tropsch diesel, Jet A, Jet B and Mil-Spec8) and hydrogen.

The Oil and Gas Awards are a platform for the Industry to demonstrate and celebrate the advances made in the key areas of environmental stewardship, efficiency, innovation, corporate social responsibility and health & safety.

“This award solidifies our belief that Raven SR’s technology will provide communities with a solution to manage their waste streams, including plastics, and generate clean burning fuels and electricity without combustion,” said Matt Murdock, Raven SR CEO. “In addition, this groundbreaking technology has the potential to convert gas from hundreds of stranded and orphaned gas wells, into cash generating assets for owners.”

Quotes from the judging panel regarding Raven SR’s technology include, “The stats around the efficiency of this system are impressive, this will be an exciting company to track. This is a revolutionary product that will tackle environmental issues and we need more tech like this to help us overcome environment impact.”

Raven SR’s equipment is designed to flexibly switch between inputs and outputs and has a relatively small footprint. The company is currently raising capital to build the first commercial-scale units. All research and development has been completed at the University of California at Berkeley Richmond Field Station. The operating unit at Berkley is currently using both natural gas and solid waste to produce hydrogen and FT fuels.

The New Technological Development of the Year Award recognizes advances in technology in any parts of the upstream, midstream and downstream sector. Ever conscious of making cost savings, streamlining operations, reducing environmental impact and improving health and safety standards, organizations providing services and product to the industry are constantly called upon to develop new technology. This award aims to highlight those organizations that are enabling the market to become ever increasingly efficient through technological development.
